The Clinical Solution to Stop Your Skin From Ageing!

AHA stands for Alpha Hydroxy Acids, a group of fruit acids, which is the main ingredient of Dr. Whitaker's revolutionary skin treatment cream.

AHA's, for example Glycolic acid (acid from the grape) or Lactic acid (acid from the milk), are used for chemical peels in cosmetic dermatology, and at a concentration of 70%, they remove the top 3 to 5 layers of skin. One uses this technique for skin rejuvenation or to remove pigmentation. In a much lower concentration (5 % and 10% AHA), it still has this rejuvination effect but the peeling is a lot less intense.

Young skin regenerates quickly and every skin layer gets replaced in 3 weeks. As your skin ages, the regeneration process slows down (every decade the regeneration time doubles) and your skin looks “older.”

Alpha Hydroxy Acids remove the top layer of dead skin, thus sending a signal to your regenerating layer to produce new skin. By making the regeneration time faster again your skin looks younger. Furthermore, the immediate effect of AHA as a moisturiser is, that your skin feels more supple, soft and smooth.

AHA cream (as the name implies) does contain acids, which may initially irritate your skin, however the higher concentration of AHA, the better regeneration process will take place. Most anti-wrinkle creams nowadays use AHA, but in low concentrations to avoid the initial irritation. My AHA-cream starts at 5% and goes up to 10%, and you may need to “train” your skin to get used to it. Even 5% might be too strong in the beginning. If the concentration of AHA is too high, the skin turns red and flaky. In this case it is advisable to mix the AHA with a normal, unscented moisturizer. After 2 – 4 weeks, your skin would have adjusted, and you can now use the undiluted 5% AHA-cream. Once your skin has adjusted to the 5% AHA, it is advisable to move onto the 10% AHA-cream. If the 10% is too strong, once again dilute as with the 5% AHA-cream.

This cream can be applied all over the face, except on the eyelids. Remember when using any face cream, you should always use it on face, neck and chest! Also bear in mind that the AHA does not contain a sunscreen, and it is advised that people of all skin-types apply a sunscreen of at least SP30 in the morning over the AHA.

Dr Whitaker’s perfect routine would be:

· In the evening wash your face with water, or a neutral cleanser if you wear make up.
· In the morning wash your face with water. Apply AHA then a sunscreen with at least SPF30. If you wear base/make-up, apply on top of the sunscreen.

My skin cream formula is simple to use, not too expensive and most importantly… it works! It will make your skin look good and feel great. I hope you enjoy my cream, and if you have any questions concerning your skincare, or if you would like to order AHA-cream, please email me personally at ahacream@gmail.com .
